In days gone by, local fishing guides used St. Lawrence skiffs, rowing them all day long while their clients fished. These guides knew all the best places to find a trophy Bass, Northern Pike, Pickerel or even the elusive Muskellunge. At noon they would land on an island, clean the fish and prepare a "shore lunch" for their customers.
