I am fascinated by both figuration as abstraction. That's why I like to make portraits as well as abstract work and I rather not want to restrict myself to only one specific art form.
In my free work I like to experiment, which quite often results in a multi-layered painting. Much deliberating, changing things, adding things until I am satisfied with the result. My goal is a powerful painting.
My portraits I make with much fun and satisfaction. During the process I feel I really get to know my subject, which makes portraying so interesting. Not only the resemblance and the character of the portrait are important. I want to make a painting, that intrigues and is well painted.
Art Educations and Training.
- 2000 graduation Professional Course in Modern Arts (five year course) at "De Nieuwe Kunstschool", Academy of modern Arts, Haarlem, The Netherlands.
- Various Courses in Art and Portrait Design, Free Academy of Modern Arts, The Netherlands.
- Secondary Teacher Training in Arts,partly, Utrecht, The Netherlands.

- April 2006, portrait of TV celebrity Anita Witzier for Glossy Magazine LINDA.
- February 2005, Perfact HR, Breda, The Netherlands, arts to fit their new offices, designed by Jan des Bouvrie.
- July 2004, Royal Netherlands Air Force, group-portrait, for the Advanced Staff School group 2004. "The Last Dinner", triptych, oil on canvas, total width 310 cm.
- BDO Camps Obers, group-project. Custom made Arts from Entrance to Office.
- Unilever, group-project. Designs for several pieces of Art for the Entrance, the Lobby and the Reception-room.
- Lots of individual assignments for Portraits.
