LONG BEACH ART LEAGUE

The Long Beach Art League is a non-profit organization that has been in place more than fifty years to promote local artists, provide information, education, exhibitions, demonstrations and opportunities for visual artists and interested public in the area.
Monthly meetings at the Long Beach Public Library on the first Wednesday of month, September through June consist of demonstrations, lectures, critiques or workshops with Long Island or NY city artist/teachers. All meetings are free and open to the public.

Monthly Newsletter which gives information about the next meeting demonstration and library exhibit, members news, artists opportunities, exhibits of interest in local and NY city area.
Four yearly opportunities for group exhibits at Long Beach Library Gallery.
Drawing class workshop held at Community Center Monday 10:00 -12:00.
Opportunity to exhibit in two person rotational exhibit at Community Center.
10% discount at Pearl Paint with Membership card.

The Long Beach Art League presents: Fantasy Flowers, A Membership Challenge Show with Eight Equal Merit Winners. Show will hang from January 3 - 31, 2004.
Franklin Perrell, Assistant Curator of The Roslyn Museum, Roslyn, New York will critique and award the winners.

Dear Members:
We wish a hearty congratulations to the winners of our Leona Post Summer Awards Show. There were six awards of excellence. They were Naomi Diracles, Judy Huttner, Marilyn Weiss, Nancy Beck, Sue Beiber and Kay Ray. There were four Honorable Mention awards. They were Mary Mendoza, Ellen Nilsen, Marilyn Kestin, and Selma Stern.
